KEEP WAKULLA COUNTY BEAUTIFUL

ADOPT-A-ROAD

 The following areas may be adopted by a sponsoring individual/group:

• County Roads, Neighborhood Roads, and Streets (1 mile minimum)
• Recreation Areas

Interested individuals/groups should contact Amy Geiger, Keep Wakulla County Beautiful (KWCB), at 850 926-6747, and complete an application for Adopt-a-Road. 

Then, you complete an Adopt-a-Road Contract. This contract basically says that you agree to clean your section of road 4 times each year. 2 of these 4 cleanings coincide with Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup any time in March, April or May, and the Coastal Cleanup on the 3^rd Saturday in September. Amy will help you with your contract agreement. 

Upon receipt of the executed agreement, KWCB will provide the following:

• Trash Bags
• 2 Trash Pickers (upon request)
• “FREE” Disposal Card for Road Cleaning ONLY

All Adopt-a-Road contracted individuals/groups will be responsible for 4 clean ups a year and arrange 2 of their yearly cleanups to coincide with the Spring Great Wakulla Clean Up and the September Coastal Clean Up.

Adopt-a-Highway 

Keep Wakulla County Beautiful is proud to support the DOT Adopt-a-Highway Program. 

If you would like to adopt a section of a highway in Wakulla County, call Amy Geiger of Capital City Bank. 850 926-6747. Amy will help you with your contract and arrange for you to get free trash bags and 2 free pickers per group.
